Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2017

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2017 is practically all presented and renovated, with the exception of the coupé C 450, which arrived a little behind schedule. The latest major changes are in the sedan sedan entry, which accounts for almost half of sales between Class C.

Learn what to expect from the Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2017, its upgrades and expectations for the following years:

C 180 is upgraded and receives flex motor

The most relevant update among the Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2017 is undoubtedly the modification of the engine of the C 180. The entry sedan of the brand received a flex version, with values starting from R $ 150 thousand. Unlike some cogitavam, all the versions of the model will count on the bi-fuel option, from now on.

The model is the first one produced nationally in the new factory located in São Paulo, in the city of Iracemápolis, also responsible for the GLA production. The C 180s that come out of there have a 1.6 turbo engine, combined with a seven-speed automatic transmission, responsible for delivering the same 156 horsepower available before the modification.

Coupé has delayed launch

The Coupé version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2017 had its arrival late in about a month, and seems to have delayed the coming of other unpublished models of the family. This is the case, for example, of the C 450, which had its name changed to C43 AMG. The model seems to have given up on arriving from the scheduled date, staying for the next year.

The C 250, which honored its promises has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, capable of delivering up to 211 horsepower. Further to the top of the line, the AMG C 63 offers more sportiness with its V8 biturbo of over 500 horsepower - both with the seven-speed automatic gearbox of the family, but with rear-wheel-drive adoption.

New generation already has date marked

Apparently, the Mercedes-Benz 2017 C-Class will also be marked with the date of presentation of its new visual identity. This is not an exchange of generation, but a significant but essentially cosmetic facelift.

The update is due to be shown in 2017, according to sources. For those who expected a more significant change, it is necessary to wait: the brand has already confirmed that a new generation of Class C is being developed, and should come out in 2020. The new generation will have changes in the body and structure, becoming simultaneously more Safe and lightweight, which should improve performance without increasing costs.
